The Oresund Bridge provides a convenient connection for travelers between Denmark and Sweden. Oresund Bridge has a total length of over 10 miles and carries more than 60,000 travelers daily. This impressive bridge was opened in 2000 after nine years of construction.

What is most remarkable about this bridge is that it boasts as having the longest cable-stayed main span of all bridges in the world. As if that feat was not already impressive, the bridge connects to the world’s longest underwater tube tunnel, which is used for both vehicle and train traffic.

This video provides and interesting narrative on the construction and design of this project.

At the height of its glory, this mysterious civilization ruled a territory of 125,000 square miles across parts of Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Belize. What was initially a modest population of hunters and gatherers expanded into more than 40 flourishing city-states who engineered sky-high temple-pyramids, ornate palaces and advanced hydraulic systems.
This video answers the question about where this civilization came from and what catastrophes caused the collapse of this innovative civilization?

From the Temple-Pyramids at Tikal, to the royal tomb at Palenque, to the star observatory at Chichen Itza, this episode will examine the architecture and infrastructure that enabled the rise and fall of the ancient Maya civilization.
