10 engineering disciplines with the highest salaries

Based on documented market trends over the past two years, it appears that the job market for engineers is slowly adjusting back to pre-recession times.  If our engineering job board is an accurate representation of what is actually happening on the ground, then we can comfortably conclude that the economy is adding engineering jobs on a daily basis.  To some extent, this increase is expected considering the ever-rising engineering demands around the world, failing infrastructure in the United States, engineering prospects in the BRICS nations plus a collection of other grandiose engineering projects.

So, which are presently the best engineering disciplines in terms of compensation?  Going entirely by salaries as the basis for our analysis, we  found that the following engineering disciplines offer the most generous paychecks.

(Amounts shown below are the yearly incomes in USD)

1. Petroleum Engineers

1. No   experience $65,000
